Effective November 28, 2016, each subject area will now be allotted two days per week to administer tests. Based on feedback from parents, former students, and teachers, allowing only one test per day makes for a very difficult transition to high school. Many students struggle with the challenge of preparing for multiple assessments.
After Thanksgiving break, the new testing schedule will be as follows:
Monday Arts, Design, Language Acquisition, and P.E.
Tuesday/Thursday Language & Literature/Individuals & Societies
Wednesday/Friday Mathematics/Sciences
Please remember that high school credit classes (Algebra 1, Biology, Geometry Honors, Earth & Space Science, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2) may test on any day, as these courses are offered at an accelerated pace.
Franklin Academy Cooper City remains committed to our mission of “promoting high levels of academic achievement in students.” Preparing our MYP students to be successful in high school is a step toward creating 21st century critical thinkers and globally minded citizens.
